Earlier today there was an explosion that went off near the city’s main Coptic Christian cathedral, killing 25 people, many of them women and children.
Sources say Hundreds of Christian and Muslims protested outside Cairo’s St Mark’s Cathedral, hours after the blast.
Some Reporters say a bomb was lobbed into a chapel adjacent to one of the cathedral’s walls but the others said it was planted inside.
